About EBMX-EWATT SUR-RON Light Bee Batteries:

60v batteries work with the SurRon OEM controller if you are looking for more range and no additional power.
60v batteries will charge with the OEM charger. However, our EBMX-EWATT Fast Charger is available to purchase for charging up to twice as fast.
72v batteries are optimised for more power and are best for harder riding, the higher voltage works to keep the motor cooler.
72v batteries need an EBMX-EWATT charger to pair with them. The charger is set at 20amps globally, made specifically for your country / origin mains and power plug.
The 72v and 60v batteries all pair perfectly with the EBMX-EWATT more POWEEER after market controller solution for up to 15kW of power with the SUR-RON OEM motor. Note: All of our batteries are tested to 18kW for peak power.
The 72v 57Ah and 60v 65Ah SUR-RON Battery needs to be paired with seat extenders to fit and the EBMX-EWATT designed Seat Extenders work perfectly with this battery

As a rule of thumb, 60V batteries work directly on OEM controllers. They will add significant range (up to 2x) but can also be a significant power upgrade when combined with an aftermarket controller. Many customers run on 60V and 15 kW without any problems and only overheat during extreme racing conditions or long hill climbs.

72V batteries are designed for high power and lower temperatures to extend high loads with less overheating. If you are a bigger/heavier rider, or want to race, then 72v might be the way to go. That said, 72V batteries are not compatible with the OEM controller, so you will need to upgrade that as well. In addition, you will have to purchase another charger as the OEM charger is not suitable for 72V batteries.

Please note: contrary to popular belief, both batteries have approximately the same range and are equally efficient at the same speed. 72V simply ensures that power is used more efficiently and allows a cooler motor to run at higher speeds.
